This Community Conversations website was part of my WISR.edu graduate project that between 2010 and 2018 provided info, resources & data tracking studying citizen led empowered dialogues designed to increased awareness for participants learning, speaking out and taking action on vital social issues.

Empowered Community Conversations and Citizen Dialogues are localized, small-group topical gatherings where participants identify what they want for their community, what needs to change to reach those goals, and the challenges they face in moving change forward.

My role as a co-facilitator is to assist with developing opportunities for this type of dialogue to occur and to better serve our evolving communities by informing our work with the diverse viewpoints, aspirations, and challenges that are shared.

For more information about how Community Conversations can work in your area, contact me through this website or call/text me at (310) 428-9784.

 Join the Conversation

We believe that hearing from community members first-hand is vital to understanding conditions that affect the quality of life for us as a society. The purpose of these informal gatherings and "kitchen-table" type conversations is to listen to each other talk about social issues and our concerns for growing empowered communities.

Anyone can participate!

Check out our (future coming) Events page for upcoming Community Conversations.

Ready to host a Community Conversation of your own?

We want to come to your community!  We’ll provide a facilitator, notetaker, refreshments and follow-up.  All you need to provide is air-fare and a room with a table, chairs for groups of 8-12 people.

We are also available for facilitator training and providing on-site information and referrals.
