About Me

Michael David Ratner, PhD began talking about critical social issues on his early college radio programs gaining some notice for his liberal views on cultural and political issues. Ratner has jokingly described himself as a classic punk anarchist and a radical socialist opportunist. 

 

In 1988, he hosted one of the first call-in personal growth talk shows on KEST-AM in San Francisco and later that year published the directory of radio program syndication, which became the go-to source for many broadcasters to find shows. That year he moved back to Chicago to start his Success Club which led him to promote luminary seminar speakers like Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Deepak Chopra, Les Brown among others. 

 

Ratner became known as "MIKE RICH" and worked as Anthony Robbins' national media manager promoting his events on the road for 7 years.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, he obtained a bachelor's degrees in political science and media studies from Northeastern Illinois University and holds a Masters in Education from Cambridge College, Mass. and a Doctorate degree in Higher Education from the Western Institute for Social Research in Berkeley, California (WISR.edu).

 

After attending the World Expo and teaching in Shanghai, China, he returned to Los Angeles, California to complete his graduate work on deliberative dialogues that take form in Community Conversations.

Michael's talks have moved beyond motivation and now combine social-psychology, experimental music/art, literature, philosophy and open spirituality along with neuroscience to analyze systems of belief and deep meaning. In 2023, Ratner is releasing a series of YouTube videos explaining and summarizing his ideas that he calls the GRAND TOUR.

Ratner is planning to publish his ideas on post-contemporary ontology and share his insights for what he hopes will spark a Self-Lib movement to help people get out of their stuck stories and limiting beliefs.
