Meditation is free, it’s powerful, can be practiced by anyone, everywhere, is extremely beneficial and can help us to feel happier.  There is hardly a better gift to give the world yet, so few engage meditation as a serious daily practice.  

Meditation Week will emphasize that meditation has nothing to do with religion, you don’t need to be a Buddhist, Hindu or Catholic whatever.  What is great is -- you can practice your religion if you follow one and meditate too.  We can make great change happen simply by helping others to meditate - one week at a time.

Goal #1. Bring Unity in Community

We all know the practice of meditation can be transformative for people's lives so why not come together as a unified community to promote a 'Meditation Week'?  As a unified community we can utilize Meditation Week and make it a means to introduce others to meditation and as a time to meditate on peace.

 

Meditation Week and Meditation Month can become annual events where we can celebrate the merits (benefits) and share our experiences.  We can evolve Meditation Week into a worldwide phenomenon observed every year that you helped make happen.  It could make a difference for millions of people in the future that you started for the first time, this year.  We can do this together but we need and want your participation.  Please tell your friends, invite your group or teacher(s) to help spread the word.

Goal 2. Worldwide Launch TBA

We view Meditation Week as an opportunity to not only spread the teachings of mindfulness but also bring awareness of how a daily meditation practice can help balance work and personal life. Another unique feature of Meditation Week will be the emphasis on introducing students and all age groups to mediation. Youth will be encouraged to practice in groups and bring meditation into their lifestyle.  We envison online forums, chat groups and meeting places where the curious can ask questions of leading teachers, health experts and scientists about how they can balance their life with mediation.  Mediation Week can become a conduit for all of us who want to spread healthy habits and practice of mindful living everywhere. Please join us during September 25th to October 1st
