STUDENT-AT-LARGE
CLASSIFICATION AND DEFINITION
Student-at-Large is a free choice student category where independent study and open learning is encouraged. Personal growth and development can be guided by a coach, guru, mentor or on your own.
As such, you're welcome to explore the college catalog and try some courses to get a sampling of what can be offered.
Anyone who wishes can enroll into Spirit College as a non-degree candidate and can enjoy course selections from our free and Student-at-Large (SAL) class section.
Students who wish to enter a master's or divinity program must make formal application for their area of study. A maximum of nine credit hours per quarter taken in this at-large classification may apply toward a master’s degree.
Courses are not automatically accepted into a master’s program. Such work would have to correspond to specific program requirements and satisfy all our college requirements of the study program.
Students-at-Large are not typically eligible to receive tuition assistance.
