The AJA presents awards of distinguished practice and we are honored to present to you our 1st annual rolling nomination recognition process for the 2022-23 Therapy Awards program
where we celebrate compelling contributions of top practicing counselors & therapists across North America in a wide range of specialties and practice settings. These awards recognize distinguished individuals who are actively enhancing their profession through their work and noteworthy achievements.

The awards honors therapists and counselors for professional accomplishments in mental health. Accomplishments may include promoting your practice through professional service; innovation in service delivery; novel application of methodologies to professional practice; positive impact on health delivery systems; development of creative educational programs for practice; or other novel or creative activities advancing the service of the profession. Nominees should be available for a phone qualification interview and later
a possible follow-up panel or judge review.
Nominees should exemplify excellence in service contributions to the health of their community through a mix of exemplary clinical practice, community-based program development, policy work that facilitated improved clinical access or quality, or other innovative means of improving health. A nominee may be recognized as a leader in his or her community, serving as both a role model to other counselors and an excellent representative of our discipline to the community at large.

These awards honor and support those whose work exemplifies best practice towards mental health improvement, while simultaneously motivating other therapitsts and providing role models.
Nominees qualifications encompass exceptional practice in the delivery of mental healthcare services. Nominated counselors, therapists and related health practitioners who provide preventive, consultative, assessment, and treatment services in a broad range of settings, including independent or group practice, multidisciplinary settings, clinics, counseling centers, institutional, community or private practice including schools and hospitals may qualify.
